About Dr. Khan
Dr. Khan is well-respected by his peers worldwide, and has lectured internationally on various topics of Cosmetic Surgery such as; ethnic rhinoplasty, brow lifting, breast augmentation, breast augmentation with lifting, abdominoplasty and liposuction, gluteal augmentation and fat grafting. He has also published several book chapters on the subject of Cosmetic Surgery, co-edited two surgical text books, and has chaired Live Surgery Work Shops on the body, breast and face. Dr. Khan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He is also currently a part time faculty member with University of Miami School of Medicine Department of Surgery in the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Most recently, Dr. Khan completed a Masters Degree in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, United Kingdom. Dr. Khan has full hospital privileges for all major cosmetic surgery procedures of the breast, body, and face. All surgeries are performed in our Joint Commission accredited facility or hospitals. Family, health and wellness are very important to Dr. Khan. Husain Ali Khan, Triple Board Certified in Cosmetic Surgery, Cosmetic Facial Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His hobbies include travel, running, weight lifting and skiing. His appreciation for art and beauty also extent to his hobbies, and Dr. Khan enjoys drawing, painting portraits and design.
Education and Experience
Dr. Khan graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1995. He then completed Medical School at the University of Miami, and additionally trained in General Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Khan completed an accredited fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery under the directorship of Dr. Angelo Cuzalina, who is the past President of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
His emphasis during his last years of residency included both facial cosmetic surgery and general cosmetic surgery. During his fellowship, Dr. Khan completed over 1,400 major surgical cases and well over 500 minor and non-surgical cases. After completion of his fellowship, Dr. Khan spent time with world renowned Dr. Juan Carlos Estrada, during which he learned more cosmetic techniques well suited for the Latin population. Dr. Khan also worked with Dr. Jaffar Khan in Dubai to further understand the aesthetic cosmetic surgery needs of the middle eastern patient.
Dr. Khan is also one of few oral and maxillofacial surgeons in Georgia that qualifies for fellowship in prestigious American College of Surgeons (ACS). Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) indicates that Dr. Khan’s education and training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct have passed a rigorous evaluation, and have been found to be consistent with the high standards established and demanded by the ACS.
Here and Abroad
In 2002, Dr. Khan joined a private practice in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2007 to 2009, Dr. Khan was part of the initial team that launched the surgical services at the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Hospital in Dubai. Dr. Khan has formed an alliance with Aesthetics International in Dubai to provide his patients the option of an International location where they can seek their surgical care. He performs Cosmetic Surgery in Dubai at The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery while there.
He is also on the scientific board for the Dubai ICCAM (The International Congress in Aesthetic Anti-Aging Medicine and Medical Spa) to which he conducts live surgery demonstrations, teaching cosmetic surgeons throughout the world the best techniques. He continues to have an international following.
